These people will overcharge for services that a college town dentist could provide cheaper. They did not tell me that they were out of network and sent a bill for $500 for something my old dentist would have charged less. They do not care about your well being, only how much money they can extract from u.

On my first and only appointment I was to have my teeth cleaned. For some unknown reason the female who scraped around on my teeth was unable to complete the polishing of the teeth so the “B squad” was called in. This gal was constantly engaged in conversation with others in the general area and failed to complete the work on one whole quadrant of my mouth as she abruptly left the cubical and in waltzed in the dentist. AVOID THIS OFFICE -- if you do not have an insurance that they accept they will charge you TWICE as much as they charge patients with an insurance they accept -- this is an unethical business, patients who do not have insurance should not have to pay more than those with insurance! They are penalizing people who can least afford dental care. If they can perform a service for an insurance patient for $159, an uninsured patient should not be charged $316 for exactly the same service!!!!

The same thing happened to a family member. And another family member had 2 teeth ruined for the rest of his life. So, they don't get any stars from us!!!! I have 3 boys, ages 14, 11, and 6. Our insurance recently change so we were forced to leave a dentist we love. Midwest Dental in Sullivan was recommended to us. The staff was very friendly and the ladies who cleaned their teeth were both gentle and thorough. The ladies receive a 5 star rating but the dentist himself left much to be desired. I have a bachelors degree in education but left feeling as though I am incompetent. He talked down to me and made me feel as though I am unable to take good care of their teeth. We left with future appointments to get 10 cavities fixed. He also said my oldest son needs braces. Because of this, I made an orthodontist appointment for him. The orthodontist took x-rays and seems to think he doesn’t have that many cavities and recommended we get a second opinion. I would not recommend Midwest Dental in Sullivan, MO.

Almost 12 years ago, I started seeing Dr. Harris for my teeth (I had gone over a decade without dental insurance). I was really worried that my soda habit was going to cost me all of my teeth and I had a horrible fear of dentists. Since the first day I met him, he has put me at ease and made me comfortable. I still do not like going to the dentist, but I do not have the gut deep dread of going anymore. It took a long time to get my teeth all corrected due to budget, but his staff makes the whole process as easy as possible, helping you to the point of holding your hand if need be. I cannot say enough about what Dr. Harris has done for me over the years of his amazing service!

Dr. Harris is awesome! Before I went to see him the dentist I had gone to told me I had 9 cavities. I let that dentist fix half of them, but the half he fixed made my teeth super painful and sensitive to the point of where I couldn't eat on that side of my mouth & I couldn't drink anything cold or hot, so I wouldn't let him fix the other half of my cavities. One trip to Dr. Harris, however, & he was able to fix that dentist's shotty job & then fix the rest of my cavities as well. My teeth have never looked or felt better!

Midwest Dental is great. After a traumatic experience with another dentist, my son was terrified of ever going to a dentist again. After the initial visit to Midwest Dental, my kids are totally comfortable going to the dentist again. My 4-year-old thought they were great and can't wait for her next cleaning! They also did an excellent job with my oldest son who is severely autistic. Nothing but good things to say about Midwest Dental!
