Their pre dental procedures estimates are always wrong! I got an estimate prior to deep scaling and some fillings. I paid what I told in advance. I end up paying them out of pocket more than four times what's estimated. So if you are planning to do routine visit better to find other dental clinic where you pay what to expect to pay not wrong estimates they gave you.

My experience here: -Require patients to return as many times as possible in order to bill insurance for each visit. -Charge higher prices for out of pocket transactions. - So.. Take heed or due diligence in your billing (request receipts and copies of accumulative ledgers) after each appointment and insurance payments with a specific focus on the coding and what is charged (i.e. balance billing) above the maximum allowed by insurance. Unfortunately, Midwest has lost future revenues from a family of 4 with insurance coverage that would have far exceeded the balance billing over max allowed that occurred.

Highly recommended service. Update: Rating was updated (improved) after resolving a billing issue. Reason for 4/5 stars is due to the automatic billing system, which is frequently inaccurate. Any patient should carefully cross-check statements from their insurance company with billing statements to avoid being overcharged.

They even showed me the correct way to floss (I didn’t even know there was a wrong way to floss, but leave it to me to do it that way!). They never made me feel dumb for waiting to go to the dentist so long or flossing wrong! I will recommend them to everyone I know!

I have HATED and feared dentists my whole life. So much so that I put off my dental care for years until I broke a tooth and couldn't ignore it anymore. Walking into this office - i was fully ready to have those same cold and harsh experiences that made me fear the dentist in the first place. I cannot stress enough that my experience with this office was exactly the opposite. The office manager Jennifer is so kind and welcoming. The dental assistant and Dr. McBride put me at ease, explained what would be happening, and gave me so much piece of mind. They often checked in on me during and even called to check in on me after my procedures. These people care so much, and it shows. I am very grateful I found this office and recommend it to anyone who needs dental work!!

Amazing. I hate the dentist but these guys were awesome. From the friendly front desk staff to the thorough and educated hygienist and even the dentist spent over 10 minutes with me - every part was awesome. I'm actually excited to come back, and one of the doctors offers botox! Honestly such great customer service and attention to detail.

Lovely experience at Midwest Dental Coralville. Dr. McBride was knowledgeable and friendly. I did not feel rushed through the exam like I have at previous dental practices. The office staff are friendly and helpful, the location is convenient and the facilities are very modern. I visited shortly after the office opened following the Covid closures and was impressed with the thoughtful safety measures taken to keep patients safe. A well-trained hygienist provided a thorough cleaning that was comfortable and went quickly. Would highly recommend.
