I had Dr Sealander put on 3 caps after numerous tries he told me this is last time. None of the caps fit correctly my bite is off, holding my mouth differently the front cap is cracked and chipped. Zero stars! I’ve been a patient at this clinic since the 1980’s, when it was a wonderful private practice. Sadly, I’ll be looking for a new dentist because Midwest Dental has no full time hygienists, they cancelled my appointment for a cleaning 2 months ago (not the first time this has happened) and they still cannot even reschedule me. So disappointing.

I think we all had it so perfect with Dr Champman and Dr Connely it is hard two give them up. I also miss the work of the way we were treated. I know it just does not seem the same there I have to agree, I have stayed with them but there are times I also wonder why? Dentist today are so different most do not pull teeth so you have to pay a lot more money to get teeth pulled also, so I hear everyone !

I had a very pleasant experience at Midwest Dental in Beloit. I had to change dentist and called Midwest on a recommendation from a friend. I was pleased with everything, from the initial call to make an appointment to when I walked out the door after the appointment. Everyone was genuinely nice, displayed care and went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. I was a new patient and had to go through that whole process but they made it quick and easy. I was seen within minutes of arrival and my hygienist was the best. She explained everything and showed true concern for my dental health. The doctor found time to fix a problem instead of making me come back another day. I was impressed with everything from the clean modern facility to every employee I encountered.

I would not recommend this practice to anyone seeking dental care. I was under routine cleanings, and visits for several years. During this time, i was never made aware of major tooth decay and cavities that had developed. If it was caught sooner, then i would have been able to address it. Due to the inability for the current dentist to recognize cavities and tooth decay, i was forced to undergo a very painful root canal, and further crown to the point of pain going through anesthesia. Other dentists were able to see this clear as day, but it was completely missed and miss diagnosed while seeking treatment from this facility. I would highly suggest you look elsewhere that has more up to date facilities for your dental needs.

I was very disappointed with my experiences with scheduling here. My first appointment, I received both text and email reminders about the day/time, but when I arrived (10 minutes before the times I had in writing), they said that they had called and moved the appointment time forward. I was not able to see the dentist, only have X-rays taken. While frustrated, I understand that sometimes these mix-ups happen and rescheduled to see the dentist several weeks later. I made an appointment time, received a hand-written appointment card with a day/time and received an email with that day/time. One day before the appointment, they called and said that the time was several HOURS before I had scheduled. When I told them the time I was given in their office for the appointment, they said that the dentist was not available. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

There is usually two to three receptionists when you walk in to check in. Place is clean and the waits are never long at all. Not sure what all the bad reviews are for. I have met many of the staff and none are rude. If you need further care after your cleanings they tell you your costs and its your choice to schedule the appointment knowing everything up front.

If I could vote zero stars I would!! Since Dr Chapman retired this practice became a hot mess. I cant tell you HOW MANY appointments they had to reschedule just for a cleaning. And for the past year the dentist wont see you unless it's an emergency because of "COVID" The hygienists there are rude and very rough and certainly not kid friendly. Do yourself a favor ya"ll and switch to Gateway. My neighbor recommended them to me. My son and I had are first appointment there and over the moon happy with their service. Check out their reviews.

And then another receptionist decided to assist us. After walking over to her the first receptionist now decided to speak to us inquiring about us wearing a mask(I had forgot it in the car) . She was rude and unprofessional! If her issue was that we did not have a mask she could of just simply said we needed a mask when we first walked in! I recently switched to a new dentist because I felt the staff at Midwest Dental was rude. Also, the cleanings took forever because they haven't invested in the technology that a lot of the other places have now. On top of that, the cleanings were painful and my mouth would be sore for a couple days. And the wait? Why even make an appointment if I'm forced to wait so long each time? The one time I needed to be seen for an immediate visit due to extreme mouth pain, they couldn't get me in for a week. Lastly, my new dentist informed me that my fillings (which were done at Midwest) were done poorly and sloppily, so I'll be needed some replaced and some crowns. Note: Angela was ALWAYS a pleasure to be around!!! I was sad whenever I got someone else.

After moving my appointment out an additional 3 weeks from when I had initially tried to schedule it, I get a phone call less than 24 hours before my appointment to let me know they were 'no longer accepting new patients' and that my appointment was cancelled. I was only offered a phone number for their other locations. The laughable part was the automated appointment reminder text I got that evening. Then they called me back the following week to reschedule and their reasoning was that the dentist had an emergency and couldn't honor my initial appointment. After questioning my initial cancellation the person I was speaking with did not respond and I was sent to an automated message! I could care less why they had to reschedule but jerking me around for over a month and/or straight up lying about my cancellation is just terrible customer service.

Edit- I can no longer recommend. I made multiple attempts to get in for a routine cleaning/check up. On 2 occasions they cancelled my appointment and both times they rescheduled my appointment about a month out. I finally just cancelled and told them to forget it. Well a couple weeks ago I get a call from them wanting to setup an appointment; I figured I'd give them another shot after explaining what happened previously. Well after listening to the receptionist say, "one second", "Ugh", "the computer is going slow today" for five minutes straight; I just hung up. No thanks guys. Original Review: The hygienist, Kim, took good care of me on my first visit to Midwest. Dr. Yamen was also pleasant and will be repairing a bad tooth of mine in a couple of weeks.

Waste of time in the first place. Scheduled my first visit for a filling he said couldn't be filled. Left with nothing done that day, but a readout of what I would have to pay was printed for me. Tried to call and get a breakdown of my bill for a root canal I needed to schedule so I knew exactly what needed to be done, my mom was put on hold for 15 minutes and asked if they could call her back. NEVER got a call back. This first impression doesn't look good for the future, so I'll be looking for a new dentist before I can even try this place! If this is how they treat new customers, I really don't know how they will gain business.

Dr. Yamen Akhras and his team have turned the old champman and connelly into a 1 stop shop for all your dental needs. From wisdom teeth to implants and everthing inbetween. Dr. Yamen really does love dentistry and cares about your oral health. I have had 3 root canals and crowns done and they all healed and look great and I even fell asleep during one of them the man is good !! The cool part about Dr. Yamen and his team is that they dont judge you if you have'nt exactly taken the best care of your teeth in the past, he just wants to help you keep what you have . My daughter went in today for her wisdom teeth to be removed they sedated and pulled all 4 and we were out of there in 1 hour, it actually took the pharmacy longer to fill the scripts than the procedure did !!! Dr. Yamen and his team are AWESOME go see them you won't regret it .

Really bad experience with one of the dental assistants, I called to make a complaint because she was very rude to me and I never had a formal apology, don't know if my complaint was addressed properly like I was told.

I have been going to Midwest Dental about three years. They have always taken me in shortly after I arrive, and I have been impressed with how well they handle insurance. I always know ahead of time how much I will end up paying. I am old enough to have experienced a number of dentists, and Midwest is gentler than most. They also did an extraction right on site, and they have never tried to coerce me into treatments I can't afford. For years I went to a larger facility in another city which seriously lacked in most of these areas, so I appreciate Midwest.

I went to Dr Chapman for over 10 years. But when it became Midwest dental the service dramatically depreciated. they just want to get you in and out so they can do the next person. Wait time in the afternoon is over an hour. They don't do a very good job filling teeth and making nice smooth edges between the teeth and below the gumline. some dental hygienists even get in an argument with you about the enviroment, politics and religion. Don't go, if you do and get the cat lady. May whatever God you pray to help you. She is the worst!
