I have nerve damage in my jaw area, so dentists are even more of a "pain" for me. Kathy has been great. I have been to many dentists, and none have taken the time to be sensitive to my damage. She always takes her time, and will check in with me on how the pain is going. I will not see another hygienist as she has been great and understanding. If I say I haven't been flossing much, she doesn't make it negative, she tells me all the positives and makes sure to explain that i'm flossing and brushing correctly. For the dentist being a place that is not a joy to a lot of people, i can say that they have been great with me and I will continue to work with Kathy.

Went for a cleaning. Was talked into full set of x-rays. Was told I needed deep cleaning because my teeth measured mostly “9s” and four fillings replaced. $4,000 out of pocket my cost. Would not even clean my teeth & spent over an hour there. They even tried to wiggle my teeth to see if they were loose. Decided to see my original dentist I used for 15+ yrs & saw 14 months ago (recently relocated to GB area). Was told the worst teeth were 6s & didn’t need deep clean. Also we looked at estimate from Midwest & they had 7 fillings to be replaced not the 4 they told me. Basically Midwest saw me as a huge dollar sign. Totally tried to scam me into unnecessary dental work.

I started coming to this dental office about a year to a year and a half ago. Dr. Pass is an excellent provider, very knowledgeable and willing to teach patients about oral health and what the hygienist and he are discussing. Kathy Morrow, R.D.H. is the only hygienist I will see again. She cares for your teeth like they were her own, ensures understanding of all issues discussed during the visit and is willing to work with patient’s schedules when her schedule allows. I broke my front teeth eating peaches and the ¾ crowns was the choice I opted for. My hygienist is Tania Kolokithas, and has been for years. On October 20 she will celebrate her 20th anniversary at Midwest Dental - Green Bay West. I look forward to periodic appointments with Tania because I have the utmost confidence in her judgment and skills as an RDH. At the start of my appointment today, for example, she listened carefully as I described a recent ER ordeal. She learned that I am in physical therapy following recent arthroscopic surgery to my right knee, being treated for a hematoma in the same leg and taking anti-inflammatory medication. Given her concern for patient safety, she consulted Dr. David Pass, before proceeding. I can always trust her to make the right call, and to teach me how to practice good oral hygiene. I have had a LOT of billing issues with Midwest Dental. First they tried billing my husband's insurance for both of my appointments (we have separate insurance, and I gave them my card at the time of my first appointment). When the insurance company declined the claim, rather than calling to tell me, they sent a bill for over $1,700 with a letter stating it needed to be paid in full. I gave them my insurance information again but they only submitted one appointment through my insurance (the other still through my husband's) then sent me another bill for over $1,100 less than a month later. I have spent a lot of unnecessary time on the phone with my insurance company due to their lack of competency and/or processes in terms of billing and insurance claims.

Went to Midwest dental for my 6 month check up and was told I had 10 cavities and needed a crown. My son was told he had 2 cavities I felt like I was at a sales presentation not a cleaning and check up. I decided to get a 2nd opinion on the cavities. Of the "10" that I had with Midwest, I only had 1 according to the 2nd opinion and my son had none. All this clinic is looking out for is their pocketbook. Will never recommend to others and would warn to go elsewhere. They should have their license pulled for fraud!!!!

Well, I don't know what poor Nicole's problem was, but I've been going to Midwest Dental for over 20 years and have never had a bad experience. I have seen the young hygienists come, get experience, and move on. I've seen a handful of dentists come and go. All the while a very positive experience. I have never felt they were trying to rip me off, overcharge my insurance, or otherwise give me anything less than 100% professionalism. The cleanings I've received were aggressive (much more than a waterpick, Nicole), and I've been scolded for not flossing, because as one hygienist put it, "I don't want to see all my hard work go to waste." Thank you, Midwest Dental, for taking better care of my teeth than I do.

Hygenist only used a water pick to clean, did not leave with that "deep clean" feel. She was very nice but kept trying to sell me on all of the extra add ons and products they sell. Dentist came in and said I had something wrong with every one of my teeth and that I would need to come in for 8 follow up appointments in order for everything to be fixed. I've been having cleanings done every 6 months for years and there has never been anything wrong. The very next day I went to a different dentist office for a second opinion and was told everything was fine. Midwest Dental is just a chain that's looking to scam you and your insurance company. Don't waste your time.

Up until about a year and a half ago, I had nothing but good experiences with this dental office. The hygienists have always been very kind and knowledgeable. However, I sought out a new office last summer after my second encounter with Midwest Dental's new dentist, Dr. Robert Van Dyke. While I won't discredit his experience or knowledge, he had a terrible temperament on both occasions. He seemed seriously irritated and annoyed with having to be there, berated the hygienist, and talked down to me. I left the office upset after both appointments. Very few individuals look forward to going to the dentist, but it certainly helps to have a dentist who treats you and his or her staff with respect, kindness, and empathy.

I've also switched my kids to one of their other offices(closer to their school) as their previous dentist just seemed to push people through like cattle.
