Dr. Bob Miklesh

Dr. Bob Miklesh was born and raised in Ironwood, Michigan. He graduated from UW-Eau Claire with a degree in biology and chemistry. He received his DDS from the University of Minnesota Dental School in 1996.

Dr. Miklesh has been with Midwest Dental since 1996, beginning his career with Midwest Dental in Oshkosh, later practicing at the Stevens Point/Plover clinic. He has also served many years on Midwest Dental’s Advisory Board.

Dr. Miklesh says what he enjoys most about dentistry are the people: “I really cherish the doctor-patient relationships I have built over the years. I enjoy knowing my patients as people first, and treating them like they are family. I want the best for them. As a result, I have a very strong compassion for healing them to the highest standards.”

Dr. Miklesh enjoys all aspects of dentistry. What he finds most satisfying is to give a child an excellent first experience and have them looking forward to coming back to the office. He also enjoys the many different procedures and changing technology in dentistry, as well as the challenges of endodontics and cosmetic reconstruction. Dr. Miklesh is certified in Invisalign Orthodontics – a clear alternative to traditional braces.

Dr. Miklesh is an active member of the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Portage County Dental Society. He also participated in the Seattle Study Club in Wausau.

Married to Michelle, whom he met at age 16, Dr. Miklesh has three beautiful girls who are his pride and joy, Ally, Megan, and Madison. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys anything outdoors, including fishing, golfing, and a passion for bow hunting.

Dr. Bret Van Dyken

Dr. Bret Van Dyken’s goal is to establish a personal and trusting relationship with his patients so they feel comfortable with him and with the quality of care he strives to provide for them.

Dr. Van Dyken received his undergraduate degree at Ripon College and his dental degree from the University of Minnesota. He recently served in the United States Navy where he gained experience in general dentistry. Dr. Van Dyken is a member of the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association, and the Stevens Point Dental Society. Dr. Van Dyken offers patients traditional “band and bracket” orthodontics to help them straighten their teeth. Click here to learn more about braces!

A native of Wisconsin Rapids, Dr. Van Dyken and his wife, Katie, enjoy living in the Plover area. In his free time, Dr. Van Dyken enjoys golfing, traveling and cooking. He and Katie enjoy bike riding and rollerblading.
