Dr. Sara Smith

Dr. Sara Smith received her bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa – College of Engineering in 2008 and her dental degree (DDS) from the University of Iowa – College of Dentistry in 2010. Prior to joining Midwest Dental, Dr. Smith practiced in La Crosse, WI. She is a member of the American Dental Association and Minnesota Dental Association.

Dr. Smith enjoys the day to day interaction with patients and considers their oral health her top priority. She feels that providing information that helps patients to make more informed decisions is key in the treatment process. She considers preventative treatment to be a large part of overall care and enjoys working with patients of all ages. Whether it is cosmetic, dentures, or a basic restorative treatment, she loves dentistry and the relationships formed in the process.

In her free time, Dr. Smith enjoys reading, cooking, and a number of outdoor activities including running, water and snow skiing, kayaking, hiking & camping. She also enjoys catching a Twins baseball game and college football when possible. She is looking forward to developing relationships with patients and getting to know the beautiful area of Waconia.
