I am helping to write a review for patient, Roger Kumbalek. He is 71 years old, retired and on social security. He came to Midwest Dental in Manitowoc for dental work that was required before having Knee surgery. He states that he made a huge mistake by going to Midwest Dental. He had 4 broken teeth and they ended up pulling 8-10 of his teeth. Now, all they want is to talk about caps/crowns for $4,000 more dollars before they will help with a partial. He states that the doctor would just flap his lips and insulted him. He states to not use Midwest Dental and feels they should change the name to Midwest Dental Butcher Shop for seniors.

The nicest staff I have ever met. I have been in customer care all my life before I retired. I'm sure just like everybody else don't be like going to the dentist but my dentist Doctor Peirick DDS(Thom) is the best dentist I've ever had in my life and I am going on 59 years old. I have no problem rescheduling another appointment to keep up with my dental hygiene and cavities whatever is going on cuz I'm not reluctant. I know it's going to be painless and I got good outcomes from every procedure he performs. You want to start a dental plan? You will not be sorry head there. As far as I'm concerned, Midwest Dental is the best ? to me they actually feel like Family ?

I wouldn’t recommend this office to anyone. I have had nothing but problems here. Between fillings falling out. Then still charging me for appointments concerning the bad work they did. They have canceled appointments 1 hour before I go in when I took the day off for work. They now just called and canceled an appointment 3 days from another when it’s been scheduled for over a month. Find a different dentist. I know many people that have left here. Dr. Bero retiring was so sad. Edit: after the last cancels appointment they told me they were going to send a referral out to a specialist and they would call me to schedule and appointment. One month and six phone calls later I’ve gotten to the bottom of things. The specialist in question does not call on the referrals. So Midwest keeps failing at getting things done.

Sam is great hygienist. Dr Q left. Sub Dr wanted to redo my crowns and root canal. Got a partial plate last yr was rubbing. Had separate appt to adjust. Got there at 12 was in car by 12:06. He charged $130 to shave partial for 2 minutes. Expected after $2000 for partial adjustment was included. Sub is very difficult to understand and appears to like to charge things staff and Dr Q never mentioned. Dr Q was good but maybe see why he left . 2 stars were for a 4-5 for hygienist

This will be the last time my family will go to this place. They will tell you the charges during or right after the appointment and then charge you more a month later. Last one they said was free, but I ended up receiving a bill of $53. They have been doing this to me for 3 times now. This is one of their way of scamming people for more money. I have seen a lot of different dentists over 40 years and this is the only place that does this. They also said during the last visit that they cannot do root canal so they sent my wife to Sheboygan. Please visit other places if you don't wish to see more charges on your bill.

Midwest Dental came highly recommended and they didn't disappoint. My 2 boys felt very comfortable and took to heart the things they were asked to do to improve their dental hygiene. I was impressed by the amount of things I learned in the one visit about my teeth and what I can do to take care of them. When I mentioned I was not getting a call back or an appointment scheduled on the website, the office staff told me this was intentional since they were not taking new patients. Please just let people know that you are booked out, this game of avoiding new customers is bizarre and unprofessional.

Started going to Midwest back when the office was on the lake, not in the strip mall. Since then dentists come and go so fast I don't even know my dentists name any more. The one tried to blame me for the crown he made not fitting. They are so busy you need to make appointments 7 or more months in advance. I never signed up for texts, but you get a text just about daily for a week before your appointment, then feedback requesting texts. That bring you here to Google.

The dental hygienist who I had yesterday (sorry I don’t recall her name) was also super sweet and kind. I recommend them both as they do a great job! There has been a lot of turnover with dentists, but Dr. Q has been there a couple years now and I hope he never leaves. He has explained things to me in ways that I’ve not encountered before. If I could give ZERO, I would! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, the desk girl is unprofessional and RUDE! Waited at desk while she was on phone for 8 minutes and after she continues to ignore me, I ask "YOU DO SEE ME RIGHT? ", She glances over and rolls eyes. Still not a word. About 5 minutes later she wraps up her call, not with a client mind you, and states, we are short staffed!!....okay so I said being short staffed has nothing to do with acknowledging a client, maybe saying, I'll be right with you...but no nothing...it went further down hill from there. I will never ever recommend based on this experience alone, I'm sure the Dr.s are good, just horrible client interaction. PS office was empty, so not "busy".

Had an appointment tonight 12/28/2021 and drove in the snowstorm and when I got there, they told me the hygienist wasn’t in and they left a message on my phone. There was never a voicemail or text message, the only text message was from yesterday confirming my appointment. What a waste of my time. Went in for what I thought was just a teeth cleaning. They neglected to inform me that xrays are needed before they even touch my teeth. Waited 1 month for the apt. Waited 30min in the sitting room with anxiety til I was called up. Was informed about the xray deal (sounds like a money grab) and stated I was not informed about this nor can I afford it. Left to make a phone call to find out more info. Took maybe 5 min. Found out insurance will cover it all thankfully, so asked if we could proceed with the xrays and such today. Nope need to reschedule.... not even 5 min later.. Cmon. I've been a midwest customer in Madison for years. This is insane. Thanks for wasting my time and stressing me out waiting in the sitting room. I'm going somewhere else I guess now... sad.

I grew up with Midwest Dental in Manitowoc and didn’t think of considering the competitors in the area, having been a customer since I was 12 years old I loved Dr. Garcia and her compassionate team. After the unprofessional treatment of family members I’ll make sure to never make that mistake again. Dr De Czitzo where in your training are you taught to tell your customers to get a job because their current one doesn’t pay bills? That customer went in with the idea and hope that you and your team will help with your SERVICES, no one asked for a handout, or charity. Do you understand the idea of a consultation or do you purposely berate customers to scare them from your elitist business? Also daily calls to schedule appointments that are not open until August is a bit overboard don’t you think? Work on your business practices and learn how to treat your customers like actual human beings.

I had to have 4 of my teeth worked on this week YIKES! However the entire procedure went amazingly well! Dr. DiCzito and her assistant Flo are such a competent and cohesive team. Flo sat in the room and chatted with me while my teeth were being numbed. This kept my mind busy from worrying. I found Dr. DiCzito to be compassionate, gentle and very personable. It seemed like they both cared about me and I liked that Dr, D. continued to explain what she was doing and what was coming next. He had to do a root canal on me and a crown and was going to be out of town for the crown and he had an opening where someone canceled and he told me he would fit me in and get both done in one appointment! The office staff had no idea what was going on. I was moved from room to room, they said I would be receiving prescription strength toothpaste that I never received. The receptionist was taking stuff out of my hands for stuff about financial aid. She had no idea what payment plans were. Not clean, doctors room was dirty and the floor was ripping up, office staff was friendly, my cleaning was also friendly, I had Cheryl. I've been going to this office for probably 3 years now and never had a bad experience. I will always choose Dr. Meyer. He explains what he is doing and why, and what to expect afterwards. He does extremely high quality work. The dental assistant I had - Flo - was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I have never had a better, smoother experience than the way these two work as a team. The front desk woman is always welcoming and friendly and goes the extra step to help every time I'm there.

I absolutely despised going to the dentist until going back to Midwest. Dr. Meyer and his assistant Brianna make it such a pleasant and painless environment and the outcome of each visit (I have had several over the past few months for many fillings) has been nothing but positive. These past few visits actually make me want to go to the dentist. I have only worked with one other assistant and it was also a great experience and I apologize for not remembering her name. Everyone is friendly and they don't make me feel guilty for having less that desirable dental hygiene (I really do try but my teeth are not cooperative). Dawn and Tammy behind the front counter are also awesome in that they look out for the patients best interest. Their knowledge of insurance and honesty is greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Midwest to anyone who is scared of the dentist. The environment is great and the staff is fantastic! Thank you Midwest Dental!

I have been a patient at Midwest Dental for over 12 years. I believe service starts when you walk in the door and that is the case with Dawn and Tammy at the reception desk. They are eager to make you feel welcome, and address any questions I may have. They make sure that my exam is on time. I have never had to wait in the waiting area longer than 10 minutes, and certainly not passed my scheduled appointment. Cheryl is a great Hygienist! She takes the time to explain what will be involved during the exam, makes sure that I am comfortable during the exam, and lets me know the results of the exam. She is thorough and explains to me what I need to do on my own from a preventive standpoint. I have very little dental problems so I am not able to provide a honest review for the doctor.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My boyfriend went in to get a wisdom tooth pulled and now he has horrible a infection. The assistant told him he had it before they pulled it and the dentist said he doesn't have an infection at all. They then argued in front of him! If he had an infection or not! So unprofessional. He then went to a dental surgeon and he claffied that he did indeed have an infection.

I am so disappointed in the customer service at Midwest Dental. I've been going there since 2012 but after my most recent visit I am changing offices. I went in because a filling of mine fell out. The dentist told me that it needed a crown, and that if it wasn't hurting me I should just wait to have the crown put on instead of going through the process of having a temporary filling put in. So, I said it wasn't killing me and that I could wait. Come to find out they couldn't get me in for an appointment until JULY 20TH!!! (this was on May 9th!) I was furious!!! You think that would have been nice to know before the dentist told me I could have a temporary filling or wait! I called the office back today to say I need an earlier appointment or I would find a different dental office, and the receptionist was just like, "Ok! That sounds good!" Geez...guess they don't really care about my teeth or my business so I will be taking it elsewhere!
