But, had been stood up twice on routine cleanings, and the last time was told I needed to go to the "back of the line" and wait another 9 months. Midwest got me in within a matter of ten days. They were thorough, efficient, and careful. Staff, techs, hygienists, and dentist all made me feel welcome. Highly recommend!!

People seem friendly, and actually concerned your comfort. Helpful in finding companies that can help financially. They were great and thorough. I do wish they could do more invasive testing with looking at the tooth for a possible root canal instead of a specialist, but it's understandable. It was my first visit and I was very happy with Dr Lee and her staff.

Tried going here because I wasn't pleased with how a filling procedure went, plus the other place was advising several crowns and a root canal. The receptionist and assistant were both really kind, but the actual dentist was extremely judgmental and rude. This was meant to be a second opinion on that expensive work and maybe a dentist I was more comfortable getting fillings from, but got a lecture in the chair about why dental plans may vary by provider and wanting to avoid unneccesary crowns I can't afford is stupid.

I was 10 minutes late and told they could not see me that day. I tried calling on my way there to let them know I was caught behind an accident but no one answered because everyone at the office was at lunch. Was told I am blacklisted when I tried to reschedule with a different location because I said it was 'bull***' that I now have to take an unpaid day of work because of this whole experience. Unbelievably terrible customer service.

I've been going to Midwest Dental for more than 15 years. The staff is very courteous and punctual. The office efficiently handle all my dental insurance information and payments and always provide estimates before the treatment procedure. Dr. Spiewak is highly professional and courteous. When I had emergency, he always were able to find time to see me within few hours after my call. The dental work performed by Dr. Spiewak is the highest quality. I never had significant issues after various dental procedures, including fillings, bridges, and rout canal treatment. I highly recommend this dentistry.

I think that this place was much better when Dr. Spiewak was there. Since then, it has definitely gone downhill. The people need to be more friendly and practice better Customer Service skills. I understand that COVID is going on, It seems like there's times when I come here, I feel like I'm dealing with Government workers at the Post office or the DMV, and it should not be this way, since I'm a paying customer. I'm not blaming anyone in particular, but I'm just saying the Service overall needs to improve.

Trust. Going anywhere today requires a degree of trust. I think that's especially true of a setting like the dentist, where close proximity is a part of the experience. Going to see Dr. Lee at Midwest Dental, I have complete trust that she and her staff will make my visit safe, that they will explain any issues that come up in a way that I can understand, and that I will leave feeling that I have been treated like family. .

Not to be dramatic, but I highly suggest you go anywhere else. Their office is unorganized, appointments regularly canceled or forgotten, dentists change hours and schedules without telling patients. They charge a ridiculous PPE fee just for coming in each time due to COVID-19. The actual dentists are somewhat cold and uninviting. If you are anxious about dentistry in general, this place doesn’t ease worries. strongly do not recommend Midwest Dental and specifically this University location.

My 3 old son had an appointment very early in the morning. We were 11-12 minutes late, and they would not see us. I was surprised by the lack of empathy and understanding from the office staff; and the doctor was sitting there, seeing us and not saying anything. We are not punch machines, we are humans. I would expect them to understand that a child is different from an adult and it may take longer to wake them up, etc. Also, there is a lot of trouble getting a child to come to the doctor at all. You have to talk to them and prepare them mentally for the appointment. When they have delay in their job and services we have to wait and be patient while there is low tolerance when we are late

Dr. Spiewak is awesome, but this place really let me down today. I was running 10 minutes late and the dental hygienist WOULDN'T see me - she made me reschedule after I drove all the way across town. I've never ran into such absurdity! When I'm on time, I've waited 15-20 minutes in order to get my teeth cleaned because the person before me was running late. No flexibility here it seems.

Decided to switch from this dentist office, as my initial cleaning visit left things to be desired (seemed like X-rays took way longer/were way more difficult than I've ever experienced at a dentist's office before), my follow-up included drilling that seemed unnecessary (previous dentists had all said the area in question did not require any drilling/filling), and my second cleaning took forever due to issues with the computer program they were using. When I finally decided to switch, it took 4 phone calls (3 from me, one from my new dentist's office) to get my X-rays forwarded to my new dentist.

I’ve had a comprehensive exam, cleaning, and a few fillings at this office with Dr. Spiewak. I came from a larger dental office where I felt shuffled in and out. I really like the atmosphere here - everyone has been really friendly and seems like they all enjoy their jobs and working with one another. I get nervous about dental work due to sensitivity and a couple painful experiences, but they did not make me feel like I was overreacting. Dr. Spiewak and Trinli have provided dental care for my husband and me for over six years. The care has been excellent and professional. I like that Dr. Spiewak is conservative about treatment, he will put a "watch" on a tooth if he sees a possible problem in its future, but doesn't push procedures unless they are necessary. The staff is friendly and helpful. When my husband needed a referral to an oral surgeon we knew he was being sent to the best. We have each seen Dr. Lee on occasion and had excellent experiences.

Dr. Spiewak and the oral hygienist at Midwest Dental are very professional and friendly. They take the time to get to know you and make sure they provide you with the best quality dental care. I have not been to the dentist for over 3 years. I came in because of an awesome special they were running x-rays, gum and tooth analysis, and full service cleaning for 4 times less than it would at any other dentist in madison. They may not run this special all the time but if they were willing to have you come in for very inexpensive they must care more about peoples oral health than $$$. Would definitely recommend to anyone with or without health insurance.

I really like the software technology they use in addition to direct observation. For example, the program they use to help them determine depth, position, and degree of tooth decay makes me feel so much more confident that the dentist is making much more informed diagnosis. In addition, I extremely appreciated that Dr. Spiewak went over each tooth image that he noticed any degree of decay on, and pointed out exactly where it was in my mouth so I knew where to keep an eye on, floss better, etc. Both Dr. Spiewak and the assistant were extremely informative in explaining everything they were doing as they were doing it. Only reason this isn't 5 stars is because their location is on an extremely busy road and sometimes hard to get into.

My experience at this office was nothing short of awful. I had been in pain for days, and the one thing I did appreciate was the fact that they found time to squeeze me in on extremely short notice. However, the dental assistant was unpleasant and rude. Both her and Dr. Spiewak talked to me like I was stupid. Do they not remember they are working a customer service job? The dental assistant kept criticizing the way I filled out their registration form and continued to tell me that I didn't fill it out completely - which she was wrong about but that didn't matter. Let's not even talk about when she had to schedule an appointment for me at another office - I'm sorry I can't drop my entire work week to go get surgery done!
